This class will teach the student how to submit and position people without the use of different grips of the Gi. This is the fighting style typically used during MMA matches, and in some tournaments. It is recommended that the student begins his/her training with Gi classes; as it is more technical, and will give the student a solid foundation for a smooth transition.
Very nice, welcoming, and professional place, all very tough and technical guys and girls with a amazing instructor.
I've trained jiu-jitsu at many different facilities and Relson Gracie St Aug is by far hands down the most friendly welcoming atmosphere I've experienced. Phil (head instructor) is a 3rd degree black belt with an extensive history in the sport. There's several other black belts in class and always some high level purples and browns. A very wide range of skill levels train here. All around top notch instruction and people.
Excellent instruction and great atmosphere. If you're training anywhere else in the area, you're wasting your time.
