This class begins with Thai warm-up exercises, stretches, specific conditioning, and shadowboxing. Learning Pad work, control, and fluidity minimize the risk of injury. Students will focus on utilizing core body muscles and develop a basic understanding of techniques and sound conditioning. Muay Thai is referred to as the “Art of Eight Limbs” because it utilizes punches, kicks, elbows and knee strikes, thus using eight “points of contact.” Intermediate to advanced students will be able to partake in live sparring. Muay Thai is the most devastating form of stand up fighting.
Phill Cardella is an excellent Gracie Jiu-Jitsu black belt. I got my 1st 3 belts from him and still use most of what he taught me in my game to this day. Love that guy! I plan to fly to Florida and spend some time at his academy as soon as possible!
